About The Bake Shoppe
There has been a bakery at 839 South Garfield since the Spring of 1998. The basic offerings of the bakery has been breads, cookies and sweet breads. In 2007, ownership changed and the offerings although similar also changed.
There is a website, www.whfoods.org which lists the health benefits of foods, grains, fruits and vegetables and all kinds. This website was influentual in what we try to do at The Bake Shoppe. We do not use preservatives and our products are not highly processed. We use no Geneticlly Modified Organism products.

Our Products
We do not use preservatives because some preservatives are known to cause cancer. As of October of 2024, we have started to use enzymes which are classified as Clean Label to help extend our shelf life.
